Ale Apothecary Sahati Bottle Release @ Crow's Feet Commons
5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Come celebrate one of the most incredible Breweries we have here in Central Oregon!

Paul Arney, owner and brewer of the Ale Apothecary in Bend, has made a kuurna, a hand-carved wooden trough used for brewing a traditional Finnish beer called Sahati. It was first brewed over 400 years ago, usually using a juniper tree. The kuurna acts as a lauter tun, a vessel used to separate the liquid wort from the mashed grain as it runs through a filter of spruce branches.

Paul then works his mountain magic on that wort, doing things beyond our comprehension. The results, however, are incredible.

If you’ve never tried any of the Ale Apothecary’s game changing beers, now is the chance. Paul will be at our shop, pouring tasters of the Sahati. Be the first to get your hands on some. Limited bottles will be on hand for sale, and once it’s gone… it’s gone.

Not all beer comes pre-bathed in a pine tree……..
